The Challenge#
In partnership with The International Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Epilepsy and Other Neurological Disorders (2025), EPFL and partners have organized a seizure detection challenge.
A detailed description of the challenge is presented here.
The challenge run from December 2024 to February 2024, totaling 30 algorithms from 19 teams. All algorithms were evaluated on the Dianalund Scalp EEG dataset which remained private during the challenge.
Algorithm Scoring Results#
For all algorithms we evaluated the F1-score (%), Sensitivity (%), Precision (%) and the number daily false positives.

The challenge is organized by the Embedded Systems Laboratory of EPFL in collaboration with the organizing committee of The International Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Epilepsy and Other Neurological Disorders.
